I got the Heirloom Recipe Journal for Christmas last year from my boyfriend’s family. It was cute super cute with the colors and mixing bowls on the front; what made it truly special was all of the hand written recipes from his sister and grandparents. Not only will I have their favorite recipes to look back on, I’ll also have their handwriting and little notes they left throughout. Sentimental gifts with love and meaning really are the best gifts <3
I have recipe cards from my mom with her beautiful handwriting. She is no longer with me. They not only bring back memories of so many things that we made together but also her favorites that the family looked forward to. I appreciate those cards so much, sometimes not just the recipes but that she took the time to leave them in her own way. Having them all in one book would have been even better. So, I recently purchased two Heirloom Recipe Journals that I am going to put together for my two granddaughters. Often our favorite place to be together is in the kitchen so what better gift to leave them. Memories that technology cannot provide but their favorites in my handwriting. Good memories to pass on in the perfect journal.

This bag is so fun, and the perfect amount of space to fit my laptop, notebooks, and everything else I may need. The frills on the side aren’t too much, which is perfect because I’m not too much of a frilly person. The color is perfect for really any season, I mean who doesn’t love a fun pop of color?! Fits perfectly over a suit case with the suit case sleeve on the side. Not to mention, it also has pockets and the top of the bag has a zipper, so nothing will fly out. Couldn’t recommend enough!

This is so beautiful! Love using it! Makes me think of your dear mother, such a beautiful soul. Always so happy when kids were dropped off for school. Just wish the inside pocket had more room for more papers. Or maybe an optional zippered pouch with a band to attach pens, etc along. A book pouch? Maybe it’s ideas in the making.
